THANKS AND CONGRATULATIONS

Jane Steker Retires

It is with a great sense of appreciation that we congratulate Jane Steker on her retirement from teaching this year. Jane has been an RUSD teacher for 33 years with 18 of those years at Walden. Many of us know her as the high school coordinator, making sure the high school students complete their requirements and finish the R.O.P.E. program. Thanks, Jane, for being such an important part of our students' lives. We wish you all the best as you enjoy your retirement.

All notes of appreciation and best wishes should be delivered to Jane or the office by June 13.

SCHOOL EVENTS AND NOTICES

High School Commencement on Friday

Fri., June 6, 6:00 p.m., UW-Parkside Communication Arts Theatre

Over 50 Walden seniors will be graduating this Friday, June 6, 6:00 p.m. at the UW-Parkside Communication Arts Theatre. Walden commencement exercises are unique because students are presented by their homegroup teachers and each student has the opportunity to speak to the audience. It's an evening filled with laughter, tears, and lots of hugs. The PTSA hosts a reception following the ceremony.

Congratulations and best wishes to all of the seniors!

Scrip Tips for June 4

Next order due Fri., June 6, delivery on Thurs., June 12

Thank you to all the parents, teachers, and staff who supported Walden's scrip program for the year. Every purchase helped make a difference for Walden, and showed your support of academic enrichment programs benefiting the entire school. We appreciate your participation!

Friday, June 6th will be the last day to order scrip for this school year, so plan ahead for your summer purchases. We will be placing one or two additional orders this summer, so you can buy scrip for eating out, groceries, gas, etc.—those regular expenditures that don't go away just because school's out! Details of order dates will be sent through email.

This week's scrip orders are due in the scrip mail box located in the school office by 9:00 AM on Friday, June 6th, with delivery no later than during homegroup on Thursday, June 12th. If you do not want your student to pick up your scrip order, please make arrangements with Pam Heitfeld to pick it up at another time.

You can order scrip online at shopwithscrip.com. Walden's enrollment code is 821C398F11528. Paper order forms are available in the school office. You can also download the forms from our fundraising page on the PTSA website.
