CONGRATULATIONS AND THANKS

Middle School Student in State Honors Orchestra

Alaina Perez-Kucza, a Walden middle school student, has been accepted to play cello in the Wisconsin School Music Association middle level state honors orchestra. Out of 1400 students who tried out, she was 1 of a 100 to be chosen. Alaina plays cello in both the middle school orchestra and high school orchestra at Walden. Congratulations, Alaina!


Commencement Reception Volunteers

We appreciate the efforts of Christine Tutlewski, Tim Tutlewski, Zach Tutlewski, and Stevie Breit in preparing and serving a reception to the Walden graduates and their families last Friday night. Thank you so much!

SCHOOL EVENTS AND NOTICES

New School Day Schedule Next Year

The schedule for a Walden school day will be different for the 2008-09 school year. The school day will begin at 7:15 a.m. and end at 2:25 p.m. When details about specific class periods are decided, we'll let you know. In the meantime, parents can start planning for transportation as needed.


Eighth Grade Celebrations Tomorrow

Thurs., June 12, 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Because of the initiative of a number of 8th grade students, there will be an 8th grade celebration ceremony tomorrow, Thursday, June 12, 9:30 a.m., marking the transition from middle school to high school. In the evening, there will be an 8th grade dance from 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Final Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences This Week

June 12-13

Thursday, June 12 will be a half day of school (dismissal at 10:45 a.m.) with parent-teacher-student conferences in the afternoon. Friday, June 13 will be a conference day.


Staff Appreciation Luncheon

Tomorrow is the fourth and final staff appreciation luncheon for the year, coinciding with the first day of conferences. The PTSA appreciates all the offers of food thus far. Please drop off your food in the morning before 10:30 a.m.
