About Walden PTSA

Our Mission and Goals

The Walden PTSA's mission is to foster collaboration among parents, teachers, and students to create the best academic and learning environment for our children. Our goals are to build parent involvement to aid our mission, and to establish good communication between the home and school.

Meetings

The Walden PTSA meets on the third Tuesday of each month (see the calendar for exact dates) at 6:30 p.m. in the teachers' lounge in the west wing, room 216. From the breezeway entrance on the north side of the school, go right, up a flight of stairs, and into the first door on the right.

A staff person often attends the meetings and this can be an effective way to communicate questions or concerns.

Become a Member

Your membership dues will help support the activities and functions of the PTSA, such as the hosting of this website, the commencement reception, the student copier in the library, and more. Your participation at PTSA meetings will help us to become more effective in our efforts to become an active part of the Walden community.

Beyond our usual activities, the PTSA board wants to become a more useful organization for parents. What would you like to see in the PTSA? How can we be of value to parents and staff? Come to a PTSA meeting with your ideas, or send an email.

Annual PTSA dues are $6.00 for one person or $12.00 for two family members.

Bylaws

As required by the Wisconsin PTA and the National PTA, our local PTSA maintains bylaws for the efficient management of the group. The bylaws must be reviewed periodically.

The current bylaws are available for download in a PDF format. To view PDF files, you must have the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
